Xi Jinping speech

Today Xi Jinping delivered a dismal two-hour long speech to the nation. Due to the necessity of putting peoples lives first, he declared that zero-Covid will not be compromised. He also mentioned Beijing encouraging Taiwan to economic cooperation and working for peaceful unification which gained the largest applause from the crowd. He also defended the much-criticised state security law in Hong Kong and justified the demolition of mosques in Northern China. However China has good plans for environment and climate change. They will support low carbon industries and lifestyles,  intensify pollution controll and work to eliminate all serious pollution. Im sure that the speech was pretty negatively received by most of the citizens of China. The zero-Covid policy is causing major pain to the social and economic state of the country. Even tough covid cases in China and around the world have been declining rapidly over the time they still have lockdowns, travel restrictions, quarantinnes and mass testing. Other challenges the people of China are struggling with are youth unemployment crisis and housing prices decline. Despite all of these negative aspects, China could do something good for the world. They are one of the most polluted countries in the world so implementing these environment plans would do a lot of good.
