TED Talk #2 Why do most people root for the underdog ?
It's scientifically proven that most people root for the underdogs and there are many reasons behind that. I think that the first and most common reason is that we want excitement, when someone who is looked down wins we feel good for him and we even get an adrenaline rush. Second reason could be that people want to see underdogs improve and get better and by rooting for them they give them courage to stand out. Third and foremost reason is that a lot of people simply want to see the failure of others. To sum up there are plenty of reaons why people root for the underdogs but the main and most relatable ones is searching for unexpected success, seeing failure of others and encouragement to improve.
In a competition or fight you always see success as well as failure. So why should it matter WHO succeeds and WHO fails?
